Julia Fleischer is Professor and Chair for German Politics and Government at the University of Potsdam. She studied Public Administration at the Universities of Potsdam and Complutense (Madrid) and obtained her PhD from the University of Potsdam. Previously, she held positions at the University of Bergen, the University of Amsterdam, and the FÖV Speyer. Her research focuses on comparative executive politics, e.g. coalition building and coalition governance, formal structures and processes in executives (see https://www.sog-pro.eu/), and the digital transformation of public sectors (see http://tropico-project.eu/). During 2018-19, Julia Fleischer conducts a research fellowship at the University of Stanford to study the role of information technologies in executive decision-making.
