Margie Caust is an urban strategist who helps cities uncover their existing assets and connect them imaginatively to capture opportunities. She wrote ‘The Creative Bureaucracy and its radical common sense’ with Charles Landry. Other recent projects include work on 'The Bike Economy’; the development of a ‘smart, sustainable district’ in Adelaide; and mapping the entrepreneurial and climate change ecosystem in the state. She led the development of the Thames Gateway economic program for the London Development Agency and the South-East RDAs, as well as their policy work on the Greater South East as a 'mega-region'. She was the inaugural Director, Adelaide Capital City Committee which builds collaboration between the state and city governments. She has an MSc in Development and Planning (Urban Regeneration) from University College London.
