Policy officer at the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety, division for sustainable development and public participation
Monika Ollig is a policy officer and lawyer at the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMU) in the division for sustainable development and public participation. The BMU is a pioneer in participatory processes at federal level. Ms Ollig is responsible for fundamental topics related to participation in environmental decision-making processes. She has international experience in work with the OECD, the Open Government Partnership and UN. Prior to her time at the BMU, Ms Ollig was a research associate at the German Federal Environment Agency (UBA) and worked as a lawyer in the corporate world.
