Thomas Losse-Müller

Thomas Losse-Mueller is a Principal with EY Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaft in Germany, Senior Fellow at the Hertie School of Governance in Berlin and Policy Fellow at the Cologne Institute for Public Finance. As Cabinet Secretary he headed the ministry of the Prime Minister of Schleswig-Holstein and was responsible for coordinating governmental affairs as well as strategic human resource planning, e-government and IT strategy, organizational strategy and spatial planning and was a member of the German national IT Planning Council and the German Broadcasting Commission. From 2004 - 2008 and again from 2010-2012 he worked as a financial economist at the World Bank in Washington, DC, focusing on private and financial sector development. In between, he led the Making Finance Work for Africa program at the German Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GiZ).

He studied economics at the University of Cologne and the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) in London.
