Kristina Sinemus

State Minister, Hessian Ministry of Digital Strategy and Development, Wiesbaden, Germany

Prof. Dr. Kristina Sinemus has been Hessian Minister for Digital Strategy and Development since 18 January 2019.

Prior to that, Prof. Dr. Sinemus was managing partner of the consulting firm Genius since 1998. The company is a spin-off of the Technical University of Darmstadt. Genius sees itself as a service provider at the interface of science, business and society and advises ministries, companies, associations and federations. It implements communication strategies and controls dialogue processes.

In 2011, Dr. Kristina Sinemus was appointed Professor of Public Affairs at Quadriga University Berlin, an interdisciplinary private university.

From 2004 to 2019 she worked as an honorary member of the Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK) in Darmstadt. In 2009 she was the first woman to become Vice President and in 2014 the first President of a Chamber of Industry and Commerce in Hesse. Her office is currently suspended.

The Minister studied Communication Science, Education, Biology and Chemistry and received her doctorate from the Technical University of Darmstadt in 1995.

Prof. Dr. Sinemus was born in the science city of Darmstadt and grew up in the wooded Waldecker Land.
