The 52-year-old lawyer, Matti Müller, and his team preside over the approximately 64,000 members of the largest professional organization of educators in Bavaria in the legal department of the Bavarian Teachers Association in Munich. After studying in Augsburg, he worked for 13 years in his own generalist law firm before being elected in 2008 as the first mayor of a Swabian town. From 2014 to 2018 Müller worked as a parliamentary adviser for municipal, internal security and sports topics in the Bavarian state parliament. He left this position at the end of 2018 to work with the Bavarian Teachers Association (BLLV). Matti Müller is married, has two children (17 and 22 years) and lives with his family near Augsburg.
