Dr. Oliver Brandt, born in 1976 in Celle, studied geography from 1997 to 2004 with a focus on economic geography at Leibniz Universität Hannover and the University of Pretoria. As a research associate at the Geographical Institutes of the Universities of Kiel and Hanover and at the Lower Saxony Institute for Economic Research, he devoted himself in particular to regional labour market research. At the end of 2008, he moved to Süderelbe AG, a PPP model of regional economic development, as a project manager. Since 2017 he has been working in employment-promoting projects of the economic development of the Hannover Region. One focus is the development of the "Social Innovation Center" (www.denkdieweltneu.de). Since March of this year he has been leading the employment promotion team of the Hannover region.
