Regina Pötke

Board member, Roland Berger Foundation, Munich, Germany


After studying classical philology, German studies and archeology in Munich and Berlin, Regina Pötke was a secondary school teacher for German and Latin. From 1989 to 1992 she led the consulting department at the FWU (Institute for Film and Image in Science and Teaching) in Grünwald near Munich. Until 1999 she served as director of the Gymnasium Oberhaching.

Since 2000, she has headed the fields of school innovation and educational policy issues in the Bavarian Ministry of Education and was the managing director of the Stiftung Bildungspakt Bayern (lit. Foundation Educational Pact Bavaria), an association of 140 companies and the Free State of Bavaria. She realized a large number of innovative educational projects, such as e.g. the MODUS21 schools.

Since 2008, she has been board member of the Roland Berger Foundation, where she has set up the German Student Scholarship. It currently promotes around 700 students nationwide through to graduation using individual development plans.

Regina Pötke is the author and publisher of numerous publications on education.
