Sebastian Turner studied political science, economic history and business administration in Bonn and at Duke University in the USA. In 1985 he founded "Medium - Magazin für Journalisten", which he published until 1995. In 1990 he founded offices of the international communication group Scholz & Friends (www.s-f.com) in Dresden and later in Berlin, where he was CEO until 2008. In 2009 he initiated the international Falling Walls Science Conference (www.falling-walls.com), Berlin. Since 2013 he has been on the supervisory board of DvH Medien-Holding of Dieter von Holtzbrinck (ZEIT, Handelsblatt, Tagesspiegel, Wirtschaftswoche), and since 2014 publisher and shareholder of the Tagesspiegel.
