Stefan Hermes

Headmaster, Gymnasium Lichtenberg-School, Kassel, Germany

Born 1967 in Oldenburg/Oldenburg. After A-Levels, University degree and teacher training in North Rhine-Westphalia since 1990 teacher of German and English in Northern Hesse.
Since 2012 headmaster, first at Edertalschule Frankenberg, then Georg-Christoph-Lichtenberg-Schule Kassel (both grammar schools). Still a commited teacher and headmaster and convinced that school can be the place for students to gain knowledge as well as to develop their personality. Yet having more and more doubts about the way we run schools and whether we meet the needs of kids in the 21st century.
